A Day at the Beach | Sonoma County Family Photographer

Not all documentary family sessions have to take place in the home. In fact, some of my favorite sessions have happened outdoors, where kids can run free, explore, and just be themselves. Imagine documenting a trip to your favorite family location—a place you visit often and have built lasting memories together. One of my absolute favorite locations to capture these moments is the beach. Living so close to the Pacific Ocean, we are incredibly fortunate here in Sonoma County. Beach trips make for the perfect day-long adventure for families.

I had the pleasure of tagging along with one of those families to a beach that I had never been to before. And even though it was quite the trek out there, it was worth it to see a lot of sea life in the tidepools that were on this beach. If you've never been to Pinnacle Gulch, then I highly recommend it.
