"I have very few photos of the three of us and even more rare are the ones I feel comfortable in. I also don't really like posed photos. My husband and I both awkward smile in every posed photo and they don't usually capture anything about who we are as a family. I love my boys and am very proud of my little family and would love to be able to show them off with me in the photos too."
One of my main goals as a Family Documentary Photographer is encouraging moms to get into the frame more often. Too many times we find ourselves the ones taking the photographs of our families. It is especially important, especially when children are as young as little C., to be in the pictures so that way they can look back and say: "hey, mom was there too!"
I got to spend a lovely Sunday afternoon with the Tinsley family as they decorated their adorable little Christmas tree and then took a family walk to a nearby park. Here are a few of my favorite images for our afternoon together.
What does a Sunday afternoon in your life look like? If you're interested in a session like this with your own family, send me a message - I can't wait to chat with you!
